Biography
Reni Gongora is a multi-faceted artist with a deep appreciation for the arts. In addition to his extensive study of bachata and salsa, he plays multiple instruments, including guitar, bass, and bongos, and is also skilled in drawing. Known as DJ Reni G, he has performed in cities such as Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Houston, and the end of this year in Saigon in Vietnam.
With 20 years of experience in the dance scene and over 10 years as a dance instructor—7.5 of which were full-time—Reni believes that a well-rounded appreciation of arts and music fosters a healthy, creative environment that enhances both his craft and his voice in dance. He has trained over 11,000 social dancer and over hundreds of performers. RNA Dance Company was founded by Reni Gongora in early 2017, blending his background as a chemist with his passion for dance. The “RNA” in the company’s name reflects Reni’s scientific roots, as he brings an analytical approach to teaching the science behind dance and loves to teach outside of the conventional pattern based dance classes.
