SHANNON LU Bio

Shannon first discovered dance in high school, but her real passion for it came alive in 2016 while training at workshops in Denver and Boulder. She joined RNA Dance in 2021 as both a performer and teacher, later directing four seasons of styling teams with Fontao Fusion Dance Company in Fort Collins. She’s performed in five U.S. cities beyond Colorado and has traveled to social dance in the Dominican Republic and two other Latin American countries.

Back with RNA, Shannon is excited to keep growing the Fort Collins community. She’s most passionate about social dancing and the connections it creates. Her teaching style is straightforward and rooted in solid lead–follow technique, while keeping classes fun and growth-focused. She emphasizes the difference between choreography and true social dancing—and she’s not afraid to call out when a lead blames a follow for something they didn’t actually lead.

Christina Vu Bio

Christina’s dance journey has been shaped by both curiosity and dedication. She spent a year in an intensive salsa and bachata apprenticeship under the guidance of Reni Gongora, where she trained deeply in both leading and following. During this time, she performed seven different routines a total of fourteen times—including a solo performance—and had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam to share her dancing on stage.

Christina has performed in both salsa and bachata, as a lead and as a follow, and values the balance of expression and partnership that each role brings. Alongside dancing, she also DJs salsa and bachata music, bringing her thoughtful ear for rhythm to socials and weddings alike.

For Christina, dance and music are less about the spotlight and more about connection—between partners, communities, and the music itself.

DJ Ben Bio

Ben has been dancing for eight years, with a focus on bachata and salsa. He has performed more than twenty times—mostly in bachata partnerwork and solo pieces—and has also taken the stage in two salsa performances. His dance journey continues to expand internationally, with a semi-professional duet alongside Christina Vu soon to premiere in Saigon, Vietnam.

In addition to dancing, Ben is also a DJ, curating bachata and salsa music that reflects both his deep respect for the genres and his passion for creating memorable social dance experiences. Whether performing or behind the booth, Ben approaches his craft with patience, humility, and an artist’s care for detail.
